OK, got that, but the Plus has a setting to turn on or off the media library. So, are you saying if I added a drive witth media to the second Plus, the media libraries of the two Plus’s would not co-mingle or cause any problems with one another? Even if all the drives are shared on the network? If so, cool.
The Media Library on the Plus is only with respect to USB drives.
If you then transport the drive to another Plus, the 2nd Plus will have no problem using the Media Library created by the 1st Plus (Assuming, of course, the firmware is the same. Probably will work even if they’re different, I’m just not sure if the structure of the database itself varies much between firmware versions.)
The two Plus’s will not “comingle” the media libraries at all.
Doesn’t matter if the drive that’s attached to the Plus is then shared on the network (unless, of course, it’s being shared TO a Hub or SMP.)
