Hello, I just bought a new My Book 6TB drive. Connected to my network with no probs and set up went nicely. Now, my old 6TB drive started to give me problems with taking a long time to show a directory. I’ve already done every suggestion from WD support. Still having issues. My main problem now is, I have tried to use Mac OS Explorer to copy files from one drive to another. After about an hour or two of trying to copy the files over it would suddenly stop and I’d have to start all over again. After trying it that way for a few times I am using a program called, “Get Backup 2”. It is doing well copying files but it’s taking a VERY… LONG… TIME. I’ve been copying files for the last 2 days. I can see what file it is copying and it is just a normal mp3 and it should only take about 3 to 4 seconds to copy it. I would like to know if anyone else is having this issue. Any suggestions would be grateful. Thank you.
@DJBearOH Do you own a WD My Cloud or, are both devices My Books? If My Books then you need to post in the sub-forum for External Drives, PC or Mac.
They are both My Cloud. Thanks for checking though. I’m just surprised that the copy process between the two are extremely slow. I had faster copies between my laptop and the My Cloud drive.
