I have my HDTV Live hooked to my TV with the HDMI cable, and the optical cable hooked to my stereo. When I play a movie that has 5.1 surrond sound, the signal properly goes through the optical cable to my stereo. When I play anything that does not have 5.1, the audio goes through the HDMI to my TV. I want all audio to go through the optical port. Is there a way to disable the HDMI sound?
You should get audio (stereo and surround sound) from both sources, you have to turn the volume completely down on the TV.
With 5.1 audio I get sound only from the optical cable, which is what I want. With stereo sound, I only get sound from the HDMI cable/TV and nothing out of the optical cable.
If there is an option, I would like all audio to go through the optical cable, and to disalbe the HDMI audio.
