Dear All,
I have some issues on my WD home cloud, namely: when copying some files (only some) from my home cloud to my macbook local drive it freezes and eventually drops the connection
I guess because maybe the file system is corrupted and cannot read properly… so i would like to perform a checkdisk… but how?
I cannot believe that the only way is to dismantle the home cloud, take the disks and mount them into a USB case then connect to the macbook and run a chkdisk… must be another way
tks for anyone who has some idea…
tks
Hi,
Please refer to the given KBA link to know about the possible causes of such behavior.

Hello, tks for support but the KBA link does not explain how to perform a chkdsk on my home cloud
Point is that i need to copy from the existing home cloud to the new home cloud (same device but different size, one is 6tb and the new is 8tb) around 5Tb of folders and files
I do in tranches of 200 gb per day, my macbook is only devoted to copy files no other tasks
I do the copy via desktop app, which is deadly slow (200 gb in 20 hours more or less)… if you know another way to copy faster pls let me know
Also sometimes, as i mentioned, it interrupts the copy as it seems that cannot read properly from the source drive (my impression because only the very same files cannot be copied… so is not a problem of speed or others)
If you have any idea pls let me know, tks
A
