ok i now have 2 3 TB hard dives in my EX2 and the my cloud app states that i have 6 TB of hard drive space on my network, but when i go into file explorer, it shows only 3 TB of hard drive space. What gives? i need 6 TB on my network
How did you configure the drives?
If you chose RAID 1 (Mirror), then the space reported is correct (one drive mirrors the other drive).
What ‘file explorer’ are you referencing?
i have them configured in JBOD form which means that they are configure as one combined hard drive that equals the combined total which is 6 TB
and i am talking about window file explorer. under the network part. even though i mapped the network drive it still shows only 3 TB under properties
i don’t really know what you mean. if i look at the mycloudex2ultra web page, it shows a total of 5.82 TB. But if i look at the Storage tab on the same page. it lists each volume as Volume_1 JBOD 2.94 TB Good and Volume_2 JBOD Good 2.94 TB all RAID Volumes are active and healthy. so i cannot really say how its is being use inside the device. all i know is that ms windows 10, in file explorer, when i mapped the drive to my system so i can put stuff on it, all it shows is 2.65 TB.
that solved my problem dude, thank you very much
