I have the 2 TB my book live storage device. My question is how do I give myself full access on my laptop. I have it connected mainly to my desktop computer but I recently bought a new laptop because my old one died on me. I have been able to give myself access through wdmycloud which allows me to play music and see all my files but on my previous laptop I was able to make changes to my device as well as download data from the public folder to my laptop and add new files to it from the laptop. I am wondering if there is something I am missing. Am I supposed to download something else or is there something I’m supposed to change in the settings. Please help.

You may try mapping the drive to the computer.

This will allow you to transfer files from and to the WD Drive.
Thanks Hamlet. I tried this but when I go to map network drive and browse the network my book live does not come up as one of the folders. I only have “network” and if I have my desktop pc on I can see it as well. Should I be doing this from the desk top that my book live is already connected to so that I can access it via the laptop? I may call tech support in a couple of days if I can’t figure it out because I know that its possible. I use to have it on my last laptop.
So I don’t know what I did maybe it was what you told me but my public folder started showing up on the side of my computer folders and I just copied it and pasted a shortcut on the desk top and now i’m able to transfer copy etc… thanks for everything.
