3rd box defective?

I purchased the WDTV live about two months ago.  I noticed after a month that the video signal started to break up now and again.  On closer inspection the box had developed a crack along the leading top edge and also seemed very hot.  I contacted WD support and a replacement was despatched.

Now my first niggle is this was a refurbished unit.  It also lasted about 30 mins before shutting itself off and never starting again. I contacted support again on the same RMA and another (refurbished) unit arrived this weekend.  This unit powers on from the remote but doesnt prompt a signal from the TV unless its power cycled then it works?

To be honest the whole thing is less than satisfactory.  I have had to pay to return the first unit and the second after much pleading to WD, was collected via UPS gratis.

Anyone else had similar problems.  In hindsight I wish I had returned it directly to the retailer…bit late now as the original box has gone to WD.

Why do they send these crumby second hand boxes out?  Anyone know of the contact details for customer services.  The support chap has been pretty good, but I feel this issue should be escalated.
