3rd Generation n00b question about Network shares / Samba (if those are even the right terms)

I have the Live Plus and overall I love it, but it seems to be finicky booting up sometimes and freezing a little recently.  As a result, I figured I’d splurge and get a Gen 3 and it should be here in a couple days.  :)

My biggest concern is that I REALLY love being able to basically drag and drop TV shows or movies to my hard drive connected to my Live Plus right from my Windows 7 desktop.  The problem is I have no recollection how I initially set it up (except that I started with B-RAD).  :flushed:  I also tried to search for a real n00b guide, but I couldn’t readily find one.

Is there such a guide or will I have to unplug my external hard drive and connect it to my desktop every time I want to add or delete a file with Gen 3?

Thank you in advance and sorry if this question is asked all the time and I missed it.

When you hook up the SMP you network should automatically detect it.  So you shouldn’t have to do anything, unless it doesn’t, but you wont’ be able to troubleshoot that until you get it.

Thanks.  I really hope it’s that easy.
