3TB WD disk can be used by USB interface, but can’t be recognized by SATA interface.

Do i need to upgrade the internal firmware of my 3TB WD disk to support SATA interface ?

Hi what motherboard is it ,does it only have sata 1.5 gbs if so a sata 6 gbs drive will never work

H is it a prebuilt system like hp or acer if so give us the model number. If not you can use a program called cpu-z  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html  when you have it installed click the mainboard tab it should tell you.
