Hi all, I’ve seen numerous posts with this same error but the issue I’m having seems to be slightly different and I’m hoping it’s something simple that I’ve missed.
I see my PC (running windows XP) fine on my WDTV Live via the Network Share option but when I select this I’m getting the No Media error. I thought I had found a solution to this by creating a designated login on the PC called WDTVLive with no password. I cleared the saved login credentials on the WD and turned off the automatic login to network sharing. When promoted for the new details I put these in and bingo! I could access all the files (music, pictures and video) that I had shared on the PC… but here’s the strange part this only works a single time. After I turn off the WD and turn it back on again this login no longer finds the files. If I then create a new different login on the PC and repeat the above steps I get access to the files but again only as a one off???
This seems to happen whether I set the WD network login to automatic or manual. Any help would be very much appreciated.
