I’ve had the WD for about a month now. Starting to get the hang of it now, and even though I’m still having issues with things like folder images not working properly (which seems to be a general issue) I still have a few questions and bugs I was hoping someone here could help answer/solve.

I’m thinking about getting an external drive and plugging it into the WD. I may need to transfer files from the WD to that new drive and also from my PC to the new drive… so my question is, is that possible? And will I be able to see this drive on my network as well as the W, so I can transfer files to it directly from the pc? Or will I have to unplug it and run back and forth to the pc each time?

I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this but sometimes after having watched one movie and going on to a new one, or resuming one, it suddenly says it needs to reboot, which is fairly annoying as it takes 5-7 minutes plus because it needs to compile the library each time, anyone have any insight in this as to why it’s happening or how I can avoid that? Secondary is there any way of making it stop compiling the library each time and letting me pick when i want that done instead, like e.g. using the setup menu where the option for that is too?
