Access Denied when logging in to SSH

I’m trying to access the root of MyCloudEX2Ultra in order to completely uninstall Plex. If I use Bitvise or putty I get access denied… Logging in with “root” pw “welc0me” ssh is ON [Setting|Network]. I have even tried changing the ssh pw…no luck.

Any help or suggestions will be most welcome

the latest firmware they put out broke SSH. you have to downgrade firmware versions and disable auto upgrade.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you be more specific. Which firmware version could I rollback to.

@MBallard @Matt87 The user name changed from root to sshd. There’s no need to install an older version of firmware.

That worked for me too. Needed to install the hd homerun DVR recorder after the my cloud firmware upgrade. Thank you!
