I have to say yes, your router should give another one its own IP address when you connect it and then your just set it up the same as you did the first. You will end up with two dashboards showing up on your computer along with the other My Cloud icons. You would want to rename them so you know which device they go to. Example is to rename the second one WD My Cloud Dashboard 2. You do the rename by right clicking on each icon you have for the new device. See image below.
Remember the WD My Cloud is just another computer. How many computers or devices do you have on your network now? I have five, my desktop, laptop, printer, media player and WD My Cloud and they each have their own IP address. Sorry, I just checked my router info and it shows eight, add my cell phone and garage door opener, haven’t figured out the eighth device.

Thank you for the response, and to answer your question on how many devices,
I have the Netgear R6300 a/c router with a Netgear 8 port gigabit switched connected.
I also have
4 wired windows PC’s - ( 3 Win7, and 1 Win8 Pro)
2 wireless tablets(Win8 Pro) with 833Mbps speed
1 wireless laptop (Win8 Pro) with 300Mbps speed
Epson Printer
2 Silicondust Homerun HD Primes that supply cable TV to all my PC’s running Windows Media Center
I have the router assign them static IP’s
I have nearly 4TB of Home DVD movie files scattered everwhere, so I am trying to get everything a bit better arranged with backup. I was thinking that WD MyCloud had a static name (don’t even know where I got that idea), so your answer was very helpful.
