Administration rights

Hello, I would like to describe my problems with the My Cloud I have.
We live in an apartment and work at the same time together. I (as the administrator) would like each of us three roommates give his own folder wich he can protect sepperat. Currently I can distribute as Administrator all rights. But I want several Administation rotors, so I can not access on the data from my roommate without his password for example.

Currently I can easily disable the password without having to type it.

Is there a solution? Sorry for my bad English. I hope I could describe my problem.

Welcome to the Community.

At this moment the device only allows for 1 administrator.

@Motorazr,

Sorry I don’t really understood.

  1. Do you mean you need more than one administrator?

By factory default, there is only one admin account. But if you search this forum, there’s a way to have more than one admin though it will not be covered by WD’s warranty.

  1. Or you mean you as the admin doesn’t want to be able to access your roommate’s data without his password?

The admin access can also block itself from viewing others shares. You can remove the admin’s r/rw access for a particular user’s share from the WD Dashboard shares settings. But ironically you as the admin can revert them back anytime.

and if you go in with SSH you can see anything as administrator
