Amazon Streaming?

I’m sure this has been asked before… But why is there no streaming Amazon Prime app yet?

Only WD know the answer to that and they don’t tell.

Probably for the same reason they don’t support Lovefilm or Watchever :confounded:

Never heard of those services… but everyone has heard of Amazon Streaming.

So what? Pretty much everyone in Germany has heard of them and AFAIK WD has offices in Germany.

Well I am ditching WD TV and going to Roku 3 because WD doesn’t have an Amazon Prime app. I think it is pretty sad that they don’t have an app for that yet and I am disappointed!!

So far noone has offered any insights into the decisions of the marketing droids at WD.

Some people have a WD and a Roku, because each has features the other one doesn’t

Had I realized WD did not allow Amazon Prime, I would not have purchased it.  Maybe I can sell wd on ebay.  :confounded:

Did you just buy and assume that it had everything? What did you base that assumption on? You have access to the internet and it only takes a short period of time to find that Amazon is not currently supported on any WD player.

How much do you want for it?

Have you ever heard the expression, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking the law”?

Same goes for features of gadgets:  Ignorance of the features is not a reason to complain a product doesn’t do what you want it to do!

Also, buying a product just for Amazon Prime is a pretty weak reason for buying anything.  The WD media player does MUCH more in many ways.

Anyway, how much??  (I assume you bought a new (and current) Live Streaming player, although you posted in the forum for the OLDER WD media players.)

If you are going to purchase another device for Amazon Instant Video then you should also look at the 2nd/3rd Gen Google TV devices as they also have app for it.
