Anothr issue Random Reboots

will randomly reboot for no reason  when it reboots starts scanning for new media

I have to turn off  then back on  to use

this on top of the hdmi issue having to reboot to et t to sink

it looks as if  this device will go  back

There’s always a reason.  What are you doing when it reboots?

two times when waitng for netflix to buffer a movie once just right after starting device

I can confirm this random reboots, I can now recreate this (At-least Partially) at will (I spend a lot to time to figure this out)

Here is how you do it.

  1. Make sure that you do not have internet access, However your Ethernet cable is connected to the rear of the WDTV LIVE HUB interface, This is true when your WDTV live HUB is connected to your DSL router, but the router is switched off.

  2. Start Netflix, When it asks " Are you a next flix member" ? you say “No”

  3. When it asks are you ready to start say “Yes”

  4. It will attempt to access internet and it will fail as there is no internet access at this point in time and the application will quit with an error " No internet Access"

After this you will see that when you use the navigation keys to move your cursor around on the screen it will jump two blocks instead of one… and Low behold! - in matter of few seconds, the WD TV LIVE Hub will crash and reboot.

Hope this helps

Thanks!

I two have had random reboots on one of my hubs.  But twice was while whching movies (both different).  And just a little while ago listening to music.   Just wanted to let you guys know. it’s not just Netflix.

twice now after pressing the BACK button my Hub has rebooted on me…and the tab files that I edited for the LEGACY theme now don’t show up correctly…time to test if editing those files have anything to do with it. All i did was open them in photoshop and made each tab a color and saved back to the corredt PNG file…was working fine last night.

EDIT: Dang it…the PNG files I edited did somehow become corrupted…wonder why.
