Autobackup of photos stopped working

Hi,
I have recently bought a WDMyCloud 3TB device.
I have been through the setup procedure to set up autobackup of my iPhone photos having installed the app.
I can see all my files on my phone.
Initially the app backed up all the photos from my phone to a folder I created.
However…
Since then no photos have been backed up.
I set a new folder and repeated the procedure for my ipad.
The photos backed up as they should, but each time I take a photo with my iPAD it updates into my WD folder as I think it should also do off my phone.

Why is the iPhone not backing up photos as they are added.

I have been through the procedure again.

I have switched off the system, and back on.

I have even created another folder to try to run a new backup again, but nothing has been backed up to this new folder at all.

What am I not doing?

What can I do to fix this issue please?

Thanks

Hi Dave1510,

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

Hi,
I already have a case open, but they are asking about my isp and router.

It looks as if it may be a permission issue

Thanks

As an update to this issue, it seems to have resolved itself.

I changed the destination to the root public folder, and it worked OK.

I put destination back to the previously created folder, and nothing got backed up.

I then created a new folder in the public root folder, and the backups restarted to this.

Don’t ask me why, but it’s working which is the main thing.

Thanks

EDIT - shouldn’t have said anything, as now seems to have stopped working again…:frowning:
