Backing up My Cloud Mirror to Regular 4tb My Cloud

I just purchased a new My Cloud Mirror.  I put it in Raid 0 so I can have the full 4tb.  I already have another 4TB my cloud and I want to back up the Mirror to the regular My Cloud.  I cannot seem to figure it out.  I tried remote back up with SSH , but i can’t change the user name and they wont “talk” to each other.

Any ideas?

TIA!

The My Cloud isn’t supported as a remote backup target.

Thanks for the reply bud…

I have to say, that is pretty nonsensical…if it’s on my internal network it should be a target…oh well!

Anyone want to buy a used 4TB My Cloud?!..lol

If it’s on your internal network, why are you using Remote Backup?   Just use Safepoint instead.

I’m doing a similar thing. I’m copying from one drive to another and the most efficient way I have found is to use the Remote Backup facility.

Both of my drives are Mirrors but I set the target as “NAS Server” so it could be any other MyCloud.

All that is required is that the target is set in “Server mode” which enables SSH with a chosen password.

That’s not correct.  The My Cloud CANNOT be used as a target – the options you refer to don’t exist on the My Cloud.  Only the Mirror, DL, and EX series.

Maybe the new OS3 coming out for the My Cloud will support it, but not yet…

Thanks for correcting me. I assumed they had such features in common.
