New drive just out of the wrapper, have tried formatting a couple of time, replaced cable & swapped sata port.
Afaik the write speed should be roughly the same as the read speed.

Try running a test using DLG. Check the link below for the steps.
Followed the steps, but step 10: A web page will display the test results for the drive. …web page did not appear, after clicking ‘close’ nothing happened.
But the ‘smart disk information’ shows all green ticks.
