Black or Green, advice please

I’m looking to improve my system by having a SSD as my boot drive with all essential programs on it and a larger drive for games and less frequently used programs. I was originally considering a black wd drive for the performance as I tend to do a lot of gaming when i’m using my pc, but i’ve recently been considering whether a green would be better. I often leave my pc unattended for longer than I intend when things come up irl, and seldom have it on for longer than 4 hrs at a time, so a more energy conserving drive would be nice to have. I was wondering if the green drive would affect gaming performance much, as that would be the deciding factor for me.

My personal opinion is for gaming I would definitly go for Black, the Green drive are more for backup and low instensity use as far as I know.

Another option (Depending on the amount of games you play) would to use a SSD for the games you play the most (You can get a decent 256G SSD for roughly 130$ now)  and then a WD Blue (Or Green for higher Cap) for everything else.

Hi as was said Green drives are meant for a storage drive not gaming. The WD Black is a good choice it is 7200 RPM 64 meg cache and also a 5 year warranty. The blue only has a 2 year warranty also the Green drive is a 2 year warranty.

Thanks, black it is. I’d love to be able to install my games on a SSD, but my 500G HDD is almost full and i’ve got just over half my games and programs currently installed on it. Maybe one day when SSD’s have huge capacities and are dirt cheap.
