Hi there. I’m new but I did search and see some other people have had the same issue as I. Essentially, I love my media player, I use it all the time. Just last night when I went to play a file the screen went black. I get the index, but when I press oin the file it just drops into black. If I go back, I get the index again, but I cant play any file. This applies to all files, whether or not I’ve been able to play them before. It applies to different types of files. I’ve tried reset, firmware upgrade (up to date), the only thing that fixes it temporarirly is to disconnect power and restart, it then works for a few files then stops again. I have it running on a WD passport drive 500GB, about half full. Any ideas?

ahhh, now if I can just ask about that, I was playing a show from the series “Sekirei [somethingorother]” and eps 1 to 3 were fine but 4 gave me the problem. When I went back to the index, it showed a music file playing for “Sekirei”, I couldnt get rid of that until I switched it all off. Could that be related?
Yep.
That’s exactly what happens. The media player gets all confused, and locks up.
You have to reset the device, and either delete or re-multiplex any “bad” files.
