Can a My Book Live connect to WD TV Live

Hello,

I want to get something like a My Book Live to play movies (including mkv) on my WD TV Live. But I am  not sure if this is possible with a My Book Live. Can anyone tell me if this works and how it connects? 

On some websites it says that My Book Live connects to DLNA certified devices, but if I am correctly informed the WD TV Live hasnt got DLNA.

Really hope someone can help me out here.

Yes, the MyBook Live and all of the WDTV “Live” products have DLNA capabilities.

In addition, the MyBook Live and all the WDTV “Live” products also support Samba network connections.
