Can I share a folder on my cloud?

Hello

My question might seems pretty simple but I couldn’t find an answer so far. I would like to get a my cloud device , maybe a mycloud mirror, but I would like to know if I can do something just like I can do with Microsoft one drive. Like I create a folder on my Mac and automatically get it synchronised with all my devices that have my cloud installed in it.
Is it possible to do so?
Thanks

First, start by reading the My Cloud User Manual. It explains how to use the various feature and options of the My Cloud including how to use the WD Sync software for Mac/Windows and how to setup Shares (top level folders) on the My Cloud for public and private access.

Second, because you appear to be interested in the My Cloud Mirror I would suggest you dig through the various discussions in the My Cloud Mirror subforum where there are more specific posts about that device. This subforum (My Cloud) is generally for the single bay My Cloud device which has fewer features/options than the multi bay My Cloud Mirror device(s).

Note that some people have trouble with the WD Sync software and have moved to using third party sync software like Free File Sync (https://www.freefilesync.org/). The main drawback/downside to third party sync software is the inability to sync remotely unless using the insecure FTP method or through a VPN tunnel to the remote network.

Thank you Bennor,

I am actually now more keen in getting My cloud Home duo, because I want a safe back up, and the double drive is really handy.
However I could not find the answer to my question which is ,
Am I allowed to have like a shared folder and every modification I do to any file inside the folder is being automatically synchronised in all the other devices I have ? just like what I do for microsoft one drive.

Thank you

My Cloud and MyCloud Home are very different products. This forum is for owners of the former.

The MyCloud is a NAS. The Home isn’t really a NAS in the conventional sense.

Try asking here:

Oh thank you , I will

And is my cloud , able to provide what I’m looking for ? Like a shared online folder in real-time?
