Can see MBL on Network, but can't access it

Hi,

Need help pls.

This happen when i factory reset my router.

before this, everything happen smoothly.

after factory reset my router, my book live became not accessable. (sort of, I will explain)

My Condition:

  • MBL already detected by my network

  • But, I cant access it. It say “The Network Path Not Found”

  • WD Discovery can not detect:

  • This is using my primary desktop comp

Other Condition:

  • I have 3 other laptops on my network and all three can access my MBL

What I already try:

  1. Reset MBL to get the new IP from DHCP

  2. Connect through browser using device name and IP

  3. ping the IP address

  4. Deactive my anti virus and firewall

  5. Reboot the MBL, Router and My Desktop

  6. Using First time setup MBL (Unable detect the MBL)

  7. enable NETBios for TCP/IP

*all above is failed.

I’m getting frustated.

Because, I can see the MBL at my network. But, I can’t access it. T__T

Please Help.

Sorry for my bad english

Your Windows PC has a registry problem.  It is remembering configuration from the prior session.  You need to flush it.  This issue has happened to other users.  Search teh forum for the same problem as you have.

Thanks for the response…

can u tell me how to flush it?

I already try Wise Registry Cleaner and CCleaner to fix or clean my registry problem…

But still no change…

for the record:

I already tested to connect the MBL directly to the my desktop, in the beginning its still cannot be accessable but I try to disable my ESET Smart Security 8 Firewall. And it work like a charm for connecting through network, browser, dashboard, even WD discovery find my device, except the MBL setup still can not find the device.

and then I think this is ESET problem, so I uninstall it to check it…

after I uninstall and re connect the MBL to my Wireless Router (TP-LINK and using DD-Wrt).

the problem still there.

so, my desktop condition now is without antivirus and still cant connect to MBL. :frowning:

try restarting apache and samba via SSH tinto the MBL

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

/etc/init.d/samba restart

Unmap the MBL in your Windows PC.   Remove it from the list.

Then try to connect by going:

Network-> Storage-> MBL (right click to Open)

Topic up. Same here…
