Can you use Safepoint to back up just one share?

I don’t need backups of backups, but i need backup of the Public share I use as the original place of record for shared media files - mycloud. How do I back up this data without having to back up all of the backups on MyCloud 4tb storage unit?

I don’t have space; and, besides, my USB port does not recognize the volume capacity of WD or Seagate drives.

Probably a good idea would be to map the public share as a network drive to the pc and use smartware or another backup program to back it up you can still select a USB drive connected to the MYCloud as target (this probably needs to be mapped also)

Safepoint backup the complete My Cloud, there are not other options to a Safepoint.

Thanks for your response. SmartWare only sees the physical drives and partitions connected to the PC; no mapped drives. So I guess another reason not to use the MyCloud as a media server, unless I want to back up the entire drive.

My Mistake I didn’t realise that Smartware? was so restrictive but there are better backup programs such as Grsync that are much more versatile and usually faster.
