Problem and solution reported below
[PROBLEM]
I do not have access to my dashboard any more, and I believe this is due to the My Cloud Mirror Firmware Release 2.11.164 (3/30/2017). I remember I enabled the automatic firmware update option, however I cannot confirm this as I don’t have access to the dashboard.
I have tried the suggestion to use http://mydevicename.local without any success , and the next suggestion was to contact WD for support.
[SOLUTION]
How I solved the problem:
1- I have tried to reset the device (4 seconds reset) and the top blue light was blinking for more than 30 minutes - it was supposed to stop blinking at about 5.
2 - I removed the power cable from the device and plugged it back in .
3 - Waited for device to restart
[RESULT] - all lights back on blue - access to dashboard regained (checked the notification alerts: the soft restart was performed successfully- and the latest firmware was installed)
