I could log in WD2go.com. But after i have clicked into my live book, the browser showed that the site could not be accessed. I have tried on Chrome, Firefox and IE but all failed.
Is it the problem of my router (TP-Link WR1043ND)?
How can i fix it. Ths
We would need more info from you to help out.
What OS are you using (and version - for example Windows Xp32 bit)?
Where exactly is this happening. Your text is not very clear. Is it that the browser is saying that it is an untrusted connection? If you, you need to trust the certificate we give (the browser must import our certificate).
I am having the same issue. Win7 64-bit. I can get to wd2go and sign in, and I can see MyBookLive in My Devices. When I click on the drive I get the “Internet Explorer Cannot display the Webpage” screen. What am I doing wrong? Oh, I should note that I am trying to access wirelessly off my home network.
ops~~~
I have just solved this problem.
Its the problem of my router.
I needed to reserved an IP for My Book Live and set up port forwarding.
I have a Linksys router - can you give me a step by step how to do this? Thanks.
Copy MAC Address and Assigned IP from DHCP Clients List
Add reserved address by inserting the MAC Address and Assigned IP you just copied in the Address Reservation
Add new virtual server by typing these values:
Service Port:80
IP Address: (the one you just copied)
Protocol: TCP
Then you can try to access your ‘mybooklive’ again.
I hope it can help you. =)
We had an issue in our DNS servers yesterday and today that was preventing some devices from connecting properly. This has been resolved. The My Book Live regularly refreshes the DNS information with our central servers, so any drives that could not connect should resolve the problem automatically. To speed up the process, you can disable remote access, wait 10 seconds, and re-enable remote access to force it to reconnect.
