Cannot connect USB

Hi,
My name is Tiago, and I just bought the My Cloud Ex2 Ultra without internal HD.
I have two external HDD (one from WD and another from Seagate, both formatted for Mac), which I connected via USB.
When I start the setup, I’m asked to connect a hard drive, and the setup doesn’t continue without a HD.
Is it possible to make it work without internal Hard Drive?
Or am I missing something here?

It wasn’t designed to work without at least one internal drive installed. You would need to install a drive and configure it in the storage menu.

I finally got my internal hard drive, and the device is working.
Can you please tell me if it is possible to make RAID 1 with: internal drive + external hard drive? Or only the internal can be used?

The RAID can only be configured on the internal drives.
