Cannot copy files from the WD My Cloud device to my PC

Everything seems to work fine with the WD My Cloud device, except I cannot copy files from the device to another unit on the network, for instance to a USB disk or harddisk on a PC connected to the network. After I´ve copied a file on the device to the clipboard, the “Paste” option is not activated on the unit I try to paste it to.

Any suggestions ?

What type(s) of files?

how are you accessing the mycloud and selecting the files? File explorer? mycloud app? other?

Try to drag and drop your files to the folder you want on your PC/Desktop.

It´s the same problem with all files. I use the WD Cloud app, mark a file, right-click and choose “Copy”.

But drag-and-drop works, so I have to do it that way.
