Cannot Delete Share

Cannot Delete Movies Folder.

@anon24826323
Is this a share or a folder in a share? Are you using Windows or Apple?

See Deleting a Share (My Cloud OS 5 Online User Manual)

On my Windows 11 Pro computer using File Explorer if I want to delete a folder in a share I would right click on it and then click on the trash container (Delete) See example image below. Click on, tap, or activate image to enlarge it.

It’s a share.
I’m using Mac.

@uchitel
On my WDMYCLOUD dashboard I would do the following. Select the Share and then click on the -folder icon and then OK. See example image below. Is this where you get the Error message?

Yes

Just to doublecheck, make sure the Admin account has full access to the Share one is attempting to delete when logging into the My Cloud Dashboard using the Admin account.

Its possible one may have to use SSH (enabled through the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings section) to access the My Cloud at the root level to see if the Group/User Ownership has changed on the Share which could prevent one from deleting the Share through the Dashboard. The following WD Knowledge Base article has some general information that may assist with determining the Group/User ownership of a Share.
