I just purchased the WD TV Live and so far am enjoying it, however I am unable to update the firmware - both automated and manual.
My network connection is working fine and when I check for updates, it just sits there for many minutes at a time searching for updates.
So I tried the manual method - I downloaded the firmware file, copied it to a USB flash drive and the device does not indicate that it found a new update, as per the manual update instructions.
Yes, the connection is fine. I’m able to view all the online services (youtube, radio, etc…) and I can even find the drive on my lan. But it will not find an update and it will also not do the manual update as per the instructions.
I have the same problem, purchased the wd live streaming this week.
My internet connection is fine (can update Weather Info and stuff), but when I search for updates it just sits there searching and after a while it says that there was a problem searching for updates.
