I have a brand new WD easystore 1TB portable backup and I’m connecting it to a PC with Windows 10. I’m able to see the external drive in the Device Manager. I can also see it in the Disk Manager but it has no Drive letter. I cannot assign a drive letter to it and I cannot see it in the “This PC” file. Can someone help.

Is this a portable drive or a desktop drive? You can try a different USB port on the computer or perhaps a different computer to make sure the drive comes up.
ArMak, it is the easystore by WD and yes it is very small for 1 TB. I tried
all the ports and still I can’t access it. It will work on my MacBook Pro.
But I need it on my pc that has windows 10. I can see it on my Pf (Device
Manager and Drive Manager) it has no Drive Letter.

As you mentioned that the drive is working fine on MacBook Pro then it might be possible that the driver software is compatible only with the MacBook Pro and not with the Windows 10. Therefore, I suggest you to just update the drive’s driver software by going to device manager and check if it starts showing up in Windows Explorer.
I finally figured it out. I cloned my old external HD to the new WD HD
using my MacBook Pro. That must have used MAC drivers therefore it wouldn’t
work on my pc. It would not let me update the drivers because as far as the
new WD HD was concerned the Mac drivers were up to date. Thanks for helping
me figure this out.
