This really getting frustrating for me - I’ve just changed my ISP in my office and now when I click on the mycloud app on my iMac I can see all the folders that I have but I can’t open any files. As an example I have hundreds of scanned orders that have been backed up to mycloud but now when I click on them it just manages to get to 64kb and then it stops. Similarly when I go into my music folder to listen to an album it just freezes when I click on any song. Strangely though if I try to connect to mycloud using my iphones hotspot then everything works perfectly. I’ve contacted my ISP and they are at a loss to explain it!!! If anyone has any suggestions please send to me to put me out of my misery!!! - Thanks!!!
Hi cavanman ,
Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

First, try uninstalling the “mycloud app” from your iMac if you haven’t done so already. then download the latest version from WD Support and install the software and see if that fixes the issue.
Second, is the iMac and the My Cloud on the same local network? Or is the iMac connecting to a remote My Cloud? If both the iMac and the My Cloud are on the same local network there is no need to use the My Cloud app for Mac, one can instead use Mac Finder to access the My Cloud.
Third, if accessing a remote My Cloud do you experience the same issue with the iMac using a web browser to access the My Cloud unit using the MyCloud.com web portal?
