Cant access Office files from wd2go.com

I can’t seem to open office files from wd2go.com using windows vista or 7 running Office 2007.  When I try and open an Excel doucment I get a Windows Security pop up asking for a username and password.

My workaround is I have to copy and paste the file, make my edits then upload it back to the MyCloud drive.  

Is there a way I can just open the file, without having to use this workaround?

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

This is a limitation that has to do with he protocol on which wd2go works WebDav and the office software. And unfortunately there is not other work around to this.

Although yoyu can use the WD MyCloud desktop app, this app does not use WebDav so you can try using it.

Thanks, I did some looking around and found this to be the best option as well.
