Can't log-in remotely via app or mycloud.com. Please review my router and dashboard settings

Called yesterday about this issue, and was told the server was down. Sounded a little fishy. Is anyone else experiencing any problems right now?

Just called tech support who wasn’t able to resolve issue. Being escalated to level 2 support. Attached are screenshots of my configs, in case anyone has any ideas. Router is an Airport Extreme. Thanks!









What did WD Support say about this? If there is an advice to be suggested then it would be best to know the troubleshooting steps you have followed so far.

It confused me for a while.

So your NAS’s IP is 10.0.1.18

On NAS set HTTP port to something like 51243 and HTTPS port to 51244

On router set port forwarding thius . . . .

External port 51243 to internal port 80 for internal LAN IP 10.0.1.18
External port 51244 to internal port 443 for internal LAN IP 10.0.1.18

When you set the port addresses on the NAS, you’re telling the NAS to tell MyCloud.com what ports to send data to on your router and you need to tell the router to accept data from MyCloud.com on those external ports and forward to the NAS on the standard ports.

I think the port forwarding option relies on UPnP to be enabled on the router. On my router I don’t use UPnP so the port forwarding option on the NAS fails, but I don’t want apps on my network to open and close ports without my knowledge.

Does that maker sense?
