Can't log in to Dashboard: Wants Administrator

I have a new myCloud. I set it up, with my email and created a password. I then wanted to log into Dashboard for the first time. I went to “http://WDMyCloud.local/” (I’m on a Mac), and nothing happened. So I then typed in the IP address (found via my router control panel), and got a login screen. Typed in my email address and the password I had previously set up, and get a message, “Only administrator users are allowed.”

What do I do now?

Don’t enter your email address: enter your username; most likely your first name.

Then download and read the user manual.
