“Destination host unreachable” means that ARP request prior to the PING can’t be resolved.
Therefore I think, there is a broken ethernet cable. Otherwise you would get a “request time out”.
Step by step, please
Have you checked or replaced the ethernet cable?
put the ethernet cable into another port on the switch to crosscheck that the switch port is OK.
Have you changed the order of DNS servers - 192.168.1.1 Primary and 62… as Secondary DNS?
yes i changed the dns settings
I connected the WD with a working cable on the router but i get the same response
You connected the My Cloud to the router? What happened with the switch?
What is your setup? Should be this below, correct?
My Cloud <-> Router <-> Switch <-> PC
Switch-Uplink to the Router OK?
PC-Conenction to the switch OK? I think yes, otherweise you would not write into here…
My Cloud - Router connection OK on the router side?
yes to all
Try to connect the My Cloud direct to the switch and check again. This would be the recommended way of connection.
same response
Without making any changes i get
