Client ability to deposit images to file

New direction for my cloud use. I need to set up public file for clients to deposit images into. I have read and viewed a large amount of how-to and am not sure of the proper approach. This should be a two way private share. like drop box share file.

My suggestion is for you to use files.mycloud.com and set up a file for sharing with each client you have. See Example image below.

What specific My Cloud device do you have? Have you read that device’s User Manual to learn how to enable “cloud” access to the device?

The My Cloud (at least single bay My Cloud the subject of this subforum) is a network attached storage device with limited remote access capabilities. It is not “like” DropBox. If one wants DropBox “like” functionality they should use DropBox.

For remote access to the My Cloud one typically is limited to using the MyCloud.com web portal, the various WD mobile apps and Windows/Mac OS programs. Currently one would need to configure their My Cloud for remote access/cloud access, grant a user account remote/cloud access and designate a Share in which that user can either view files or, read/write/delete files, ne typically uses the My Cloud Dashboard to create user accounts, create Shares, and configure remote/cloud access to the My Cloud.

The My Cloud Support center has more information and links to the various software for remote/cloud access.

Yes Bennor, mine is a single bay My Cloud. I have read the User Manual as well as many of the tutorials. Just bogged down trying to get something off the ground! Thanks for sharing.
