I would appreciate if some one could explain what is the simplest way to clone or backup my Wdmyloud to the USB drive connected to mycloud device.
Use the safepoints. It creates a mirror of all the content on the My Cloud. Other options would require using the SSH access and installing/running sync/backup software on the unit.
Of course you could use a computer to backup shares to the USB share but performance will be low because of the round-tripping of the data.
