Connecting EX2 to my Smart TV

Hi,

I’ve been having some difficulty connecting the EX2 to my smart tv.

It shows up on the network and I can click on it in the input menu, but when I clicked on it initially it kept reporting that there were no files.

I then added data into the ‘Public’ folder and this started showing data up on the tv (previously had a Films, and a TV Shows folder, set as public etc but these wouldn’t work on the TV, wouldn’t show the folders whatsoever)

But now, I have a folder structure like this:

But on the TV it just shows the standard folders of ‘Shared Music, Pictures & Videos’

Is there a way to create my own folders in this location or am I tied down to the pre-made folders?

P.S, I have also tried renaming the standard folders from Shared… to something random, but the name changes don’t show up on the TV although they do show up on the web file viewer and on the app and through windows explorer.

Go to the Shares tab and switch on Media serving for you folders.

Or go to the Twonky server setup. Type in the adress bar [IP adress of My Cloud]:9000, and then add your folders.

Also, Media Serving is on for the main ‘Public’ folder but there’s no option (that I can see) to set it for folders contained inside…

My folders that are inside the Public folder don’t show on the left of Shares, just on Web File Viewer or through Windows Explorer - should the contents show on the left of Shares? If so, how do I add them under a folder’s hierarchy?

It’s strange, and I can not see the images in your post.
Try to add those folders in the Twonky server setup.
