Copy files to myCloud from USB via myCloud iPAD / PC etc

I have myCloud EX4 mounted with a 3TB WD Red SOHO NAS 3TB 3.5" SATA-600 with i started with. Mounted as JBOD. I copy’ed files from 2 1,5TB WD (WD15EARS) from a USB bay to the myCloud via my iPAD app and it went well so far so good.

I monuted the two WD 1,5 in the EX4 and formatted it. Now my problems began, first the file transfer stops after a short while and now a can’t copy anything to the EX4. I have tried via PC / phone etc. In Windows filemanager i get a message saying there is not suffient space on the EX4. I have 2,94 TB free space !!. on Volume 1, and 3.
On the other devices i don’t get any massage, but in the log it says transfer failed. I also get the “above 95% on Volume_1” massage from the EX4 and the red LED.
WHAT IS GOING ON i am desparate. I can’t go back now because my files is now on a Linux system (EX4)

Hello, I do not know why this might be happening, however a reset by pressing the reset button in the back might help, this is not data destructive.

Hello IIuna.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I have bought 4 new 3TB WD red disk’s and mounted them in the EX4 and started copy the remaining files to the new setup. They are mounted as RAID 5 (default) witch give me about 9 TB. Afterwards I will try to mount the “old” drives to my Ubunto PC and extract the files from there. Du you know what the RESET button do to the system ?

Kind Regards
Søren

Hi, it resets the settings back to default, including the ip and user and I’ve seen that it have fixed some random issues on the drives.

Thanks for information. My “old” drives is now in a USB 3.0 bay connected to the EX4 and I am almost done copy from them. . Just another questions about the 2 LAN connection. Do I just connect the both to my router or is there any setup in the EX4 I have to do afterwards ?

Kind Regards

Hi, you need to only connect the 2 Ethernet cables to the drive, however the different modes are inside the dashboard.
