Copying data to a new Mycloud Mirror

I have an existing 2TB mycloud Mirror device at my parents house and we will be buying an additional unit this time 4TB which will be in my house.

What is the quickest and easiest way to transfer all the data from the existing mirror to the new one?

Could i just plug both into my iMac and then just drag/drop the files from one to another unit?

Hello,

You can try doing a USB backup and then restoring it to the other drive.

Check page #71 of the user’s manual.

Yes, you can drag and drop everything from one to the other. But you need to connect both drives to your router to do this. And don’t be surprised how slow this goes - you’re looking at about 3-5MBps (20-40Mbps). Just leave it copying overnight.
