Delete file on PC = ? to file on MCM

I have another cloud backup with ‘MOZY HOME’ which I have been using for numerous years.

I like there system whereby if I delete a filew off my PC, it remains in the Mozy cloud for a further 30 days.

This covers my back if I delete a file off my PC and recycle bin, I know I have 30 days from that delete to recover it from the Cloud.

I am now using My Cloud Mirror as well with automatic save ON and 2 copies selected.

Does this mean that if I delete a file on my PC, it will automatically delete from the MCM meaning I have lost the file for good?

OR

Does it stay on my MCM until I physically delete it?

Presuming that you are using Smartware, it will stay on the MCM until you specifically delete it.

To make my initial statement a bit clearer DarrenHill. Sorry for my ambiguity.

If a create a file and save it and it automaticall saves to my MCM via smartware.

If the next day I go into Windows Explorer and by accident delete the file.

Will that deletion be reflected on the MCM or will it remain on there and ignore that I have deleted it off my PC?

It will stay on the MCM. Smartware is back-up software, not sync software.

Basically any file backed up by Smartware will stay on the MCM permanently unless you specifically go into the MCM share and delete it.
