I only want to save / backup the new files on my card. Will it do this incrementally?
Yes it does. I tested this yesterday and only the new files on the SD card were downloaded.
Thanks kindly dohearne. That sounds really excellent. Do you happen to know whether incremental saves can handle more than one card? I plan on swapping one card of my camera for backing up and swapping the other in at the same time, if that makes sense?
Regards again,

I did some experimenting today and it does seem that incremental copies will be made even if you are swapping cards back and forth. I was doing manual imports instead of automatic so I do not know if that makes any diference. Some behaviors I noted you might be interested in.
- Each card has its own file in the SD Import folder and the file structure mirrors the structure on the SD card (in my case SDxxxxxx/DCIM/100OLMP/picture files)
- You can use a PC(MAC) or mobile device interchangeably for incremental backups
- if you delete all photos from an SD card folder, numbering starts over
- raw+jpeg files are given the same number with differing appended file designation as one would expect
- even on a wifi network saves are slow - in my case 15GB took more than 30 minutes
