Good day folks, I’, curious as to weather anyone has paid attention to the drive temps on there NAS.
I just setup a EX2 Ultra with a pair of 2 TB SATA’s 7200RPM.
sitting on my desk the temps for both were 48C. I kind of felt that was high and I noticed what I felt was a fair amount of heat rising from the unit.
So I added a 50MM fan with a speed control on top of the unit drawing air out.
with a roughly 50% power to the fan my temps dropped to 32C and that was while I had a 98GB file transfer running.
this fan is pretty quiet and I have to believe as with most electronics this is GOOD.
your thoughts?
