I’m considering buying a DX4000, they’re relatovely cheap at the moment and still offer great value for money, but, the 4TB version I bought together with 2 expansion drives of 2TB each is taking a long time to be delivered. The devcie itself is widely available, but the drives are not.
It would be great if you’d release one more firmware upgrade for this great device which would open up the list of compatible drives to a slightly wider range. The Intel RAID controller that’s running on the device doesn’t really have a limit. I don’t mind them being WD drives, I don’t mind them being RE4 drives, I understand the special demands placed on RAID drives and am willing to pay for it, but this is rediculous :).
