I erased my Passport Ultra. I plugged back in and “nothing”. My PC windows 7 shows it in my drive F, but it needs the setup utilities. I went to WD downloads and followed the download instructions. I first downloaded the Acronis software as I thought this was everything I needed. and when it finished, I unzipped it and it says "The file Ath_installer_oem_etc… has problems with missing information and cannot unzip. So, I don’t know what to do now. I am not even sure what downloads to pick to reinstall the software to get it back to install the program…being a new user of this back up stuff, I am surely learning things… What should I do now and how many item downloads (please name them) do I need of the software to be reinstalled for it to work as nicely as I when I first installed it. Can any one help me?
Did you erase (delete) the data, or did you re-format the drive?
If your answer is not formatted, then locate an un-erase utility and un-erase the data you deleted.
If you formatted the drive the data is GONE!

.Thank you for the information. I did only erase. I did not format. Now, I will look for an un-erase utility as per your suggestion. I will get back to this when I complete the (fix) and let you know how I did. Appreciate the help.
