EX2 Ultra making beep or squeak sound

My Cloud NAS has started what sounds like a “beep” or squeak noise. This started a few months ago and has been getting noticeably more frequent. It sounds as though the heads on one of the drives are starting to go. Also the last few times a firmware update has been applied, drive 1 would not come online. Eventually it would come online with a subsequent reboot. I have run all the diagnostic tests on the unit but no issues were reported.

Contacted support and their suggestion was to reformat and re-partition the drives. I’m not sure what they think could be solved by doing this. Am I better off just replacing the drive and moving on?

Step One: BACK UP THE DATA TO ANOTHER DEVICE.

Then you will feel much better (Then probably replace the drive haha)
