After upgrading to 1.05.21 today my EX4 no longer displays any of my shares. I tried adding a “Test” share and this too disappeared. All my data is currently unaccessible so I urgently need a solution. Drive usage is stil showing as the same and users still exist as do the mobile users set up under the user accounts.

Are you at all familiar with SSH?
If you can SSH into the device you can check that your files are still there (they very probably are).
I had some shares go missing after the update too; support had me do a system restore, and all of my shares showed back up again.
They also said that you should be able to just re-add the same shares as you had before, with the same names, and they will work. This has worked for me in the past.

Thanks for the advice, I am not familiar with SSH unfortunately but my files are still on the drive as I can still see the breakdown of how many TB of Video, Music etc. that I have.
I did try retyping in the Share names but with no luck but I have just done a manual firmware uprgade, so will try again.

I did try retyping the Public Share again, initially it shows up in the share list but if I navigate away from the share page of the dashboard and then go back again it is gone. Also I have no luck trying to mount the drive.

That happened to me. If you create a new share with exactly the same name that you had before it will reappaer, but it has to be EXACTLY the same name.
