i recently bought external hdd WD Elements 500GB. my plan is to make this hdd an internal hdd, so then i accidentally broke its connector usb but not damaging the entire hdd. so i can’t use it as an external usb anymore. Then i replace the case connector using other WD external hdd case which fits, and when i connect as an usb external hdd , the drive is showing but i can’t access.
i tried using cmd, in disk list i can see the drive but it shows no media, 0gb free space and 0gb use space.
i also try in cmd list volume but the hdd is not showing.
pls help. my drive is new but uuhhhhh i dont want this to be useless.

Most likely you use an enclosure from a My Book with encryption and is the reason why you are unable to use it. You will need to get another WD Elements enclosure or a third party one.
